Itinerary
- Day 1 – Reception and transportation to the Laguna del Diamante Provincial Reserve at 3300 masl. We will have a brief introductory talk about the expedition. We will also check the equipment and rent what is necessary. Transportation to the reserve. Overnight at the foot of the lagoon.
- Day 2 – Acclimatization in Laguna del Diamante 3300 masl. Trekking in the surroundings of the lagoon.
- Day 3 – Ascent to Camp 1 (3800 masl). We will ascend to Camp 1 with all the equipment. This will take us approximately about 6 hours.
- We will set up camp and spend the night there.
- Day 4 – Ascent to Camp 2. We will ascend to camp 2 (4400 masl) which will take us about 6 hours approximately.
We will set up camp and spend the night. - Day 5 – Summit day (5323 masl) and descent to Camp 2.
- Day 6 – Descent to Laguna del Diamante and transfer to the Hotel.
Equipment
NECESSARY EQUIPMENT FOR THE EXPEDITION
- – Sunglasses (UV 400 or cat 3 or 4)
- – Hat with visor
- – Sunscreen and lipstick factor 40 or higher
- – Buff
- – Polar or wool warm cap
- – Synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt, type 1 leather
- – Polar fleece coat
- – Thin down jacket
- – Thick down jacket
- – Waterproof jacket with hood (GORE TEX membrane or similar)
- – Warm gloves
- – Down mittens
- – Synthetic inner pants type 1 skin
- – Trekking pants
- – Thick socks
- – Trekking boots (if they are waterproof better)
- – Double boots
- – Crampons
- – Trekking poles
- – Headlamp with spare batteries
- – Thermarest type insulating mats
- – Sleeping bag – 20o C
- – 1 liter thermos flask
- – 1L water container
- – Mountain backpack 70 – 80 L
- – Personal first aid kit (including personal medications)

- – Mountain guide, 1 guide for every 2 clients.
